Why conduct 360-degree feedback leadership assessments?
It has been estimated than only 10% of executives accurately assess their own leadership skills in relation to their peers. Many executives are unaware of how their behaviour may impede effective organisational functioning. A 360-degree feedback system can be an eye-opener and provide insight into an individual, team or organisation’s blind spots. Leaders receive feedback not only from their superiors but also from superiors, colleagues and friends.
What is the difference between the KDVI instruments and other leadership assessments available?
All our instruments, except the OCA™, are 360-degree multiple party feedback assessments. Each follows a rigorous process of design, development and validation, based on state of the art research as well as experience working with thousands of executives throughout the world. We also emphasise the particular challenges and needs of global leaders in our survey design.
What is the target audience for KDVI instruments?
KDVI instruments are appropriate for a wide range of established and up-and-coming leaders, including senior executives, mid-level managers, junior executives, and organisational directors working in for-profit and non-profit organisations.

Can I use each KDVI’s instruments as a stand-alone instrument or with other KDVI leadership development instruments?

Check the key: If you copy-pasted the link given to you, please make sure you entered the full link along with the key at the end.

Check your Internet Settings: Make sure it allows SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0 or TLS 1.0 encryption.

I encountered an error/exception when trying to access the questionnaire.
Temporary server problem
Mostly this is due to a temporary server problem. Close the window and try accessing the questionnaire again a few minutes later by clicking on the URL sent to you. If the problem persists, kindly contact [email protected].
Session expired
Once you login to the questionnaire by clicking on the link, your session is valid for no more than 90 minutes. Please try to complete the questionnaire within this time. In case you are unable to finish the questionnaire in time, you can just save the responses and finish the questionnaire later.
I have not received the email containing the link. What should I do?
It may be that this automatic email is considered as ‘SPAM’ by your server/computer’s firewall. Please check with your IT department to ensure that it will be accepted. Please contact us at [email protected] if you need the link to be sent again.
The FAQ button in the questionnaire does not seem to be working.
Please let us know by sending an email to [email protected] and it will be investigated.
I can access my questionnaire but cannot submit my responses.
Click on ‘submit full questionnaire’ in order to save it: If the system does not allow you to save, it may be because you have not answered all the questions. If you look at the top of the page it will show the number of questions you have completed, e.g. 99/100 and you will need to have completed 100/100 in order to submit the questionnaire.
Check your network settings: Sometimes you can access https sites but your network settings won’t allow you to submit any information to the website (in this case, your responses). Contact your organisation's Network Administrator/Computer Services to make sure that "http://kdvi.media3.net" is among the list of trusted sites and that posting data to the https site has been enabled.
I want to go back and edit my answers but when I do this my new answers are not saved and all I can see are my old answers.
This is usually a problem with loading. Please wait until the whole questionnaire has loaded and you can see only 8 questions on each page at a time and then start answering. You can also try refreshing the new page and then going back to the previous page you have just done to check that you can see the new answers.
Can I update my responses after I've finished my questionnaire/survey?
Yes . You can access your survey/questionnaire and update your responses (questions or comments) until the deadline expires.
I (or my observers) have not had time to finish completing the questionnaire/survey. Can I save and go back to it later?
Yes, you can save your responses and go back to it at any time before the given deadline. Please note that any incomplete questionnaire cannot be taken into account in the result report.
I will not be able to complete the survey in the given timeframe. Can the deadline be extended?
Please select your observers as soon as you can to allow them enough time. Please let us know if you or your observers need more time, in some cases we may be able to extend the deadline.
Why do I have to fill in my personal details to answer the questionnaire?
This is purely for KDVI's research purpose. Any data collected in the questionnaire is entirely confidential. All identifying personal information will be removed after the end of the programme. KDVI's database (purely for research purposes) keeps age, nationality, gender, and work details, but names are stripped from the material. No information from the survey is given to the company, or anywhere else outside KDVI.
If you do not wish to disclose your age please enter 0. If you do not wish to disclose your Nationality or Country of birth, please select "No Answer" which is the last option in the drop down menu.
I am a participant and want to add observers. After I've added my observers, how can they access the questionnaire?
The moment you add an observer, an automatic email is sent to the observer with their access URL and instructions. Please do not send your observers the URL link that was sent to you as a participant.
I don’t have direct reports. Can I choose other types of respondents?
Yes. In this case, please select internal or external customers whose opinion you value and list them under the “Other” category. This will enable you to pool their feedback with feedback from your superior(s) and co-workers.
Can I send my URL link to the participant for whom I am providing feedback as an observer?
No, your URL link is your personal and confidential access to the questionnaire. If you are an Observer, please DO NOT send the link to anyone, especially the participant for whom you are providing feedback. Remember that for GELI, LAQ™, ITI™ and OCA™, your responses are anonymous.
My observers have not received the email containing their link, (or deleted it). How can I ensure they receive it?
Please contact us and we will send it again.
My observer doesn’t think he or she knows me enough to answer certain questions. Is there a ‘not applicable’ option?
There is a ‘not observed’ button for questions 81-100. For all the other questions, your observer may want to select the rating of “4”, as it the most neutral answer.
How can I check on whether or not my observers have completed the questionnaire/survey?
You can check the progress of your survey (on the Observers’ page) in case you need to ‘chase’ any of your observers for their feedback, so please make sure that you do not delete the mail containing your personal web-link to the survey. However, if you have deleted it, please contact [email protected] and another link will be sent to you.
I can see ‘Complete’ for status when I have not finished entering all my comments. Why is this?
The status is showing as “Complete” because you have answered all the questions and entered some text in the “Comment” fields. As the “Comments” section is not compulsory, unlike the “Questions” section, the status has been changed to “Complete”. Nevertheless, you can access the survey again and enter more comments until the deadline is over, irrespective of the status displayed, i.e. (“Complete/ Not complete”)
Is the feedback I provide for the instruments anonymous?
For Participants
For the GELI, LAQ™, ITI™ and OCA™, the presentation of the feedback results is designed to protect the anonymity of all observers’ feedback. For the GELI and LAQ, in order to maintain this anonymity, there must be at least 2 observers per category. However, if there is only feedback from. one observer in this category it will automatically be merged in the average graph line and not shown separately.
For Observers
If you have a question about anonymity, you may wish to contact the Participant who selected you as an observer if you have any concerns and to check that they have selected at least 2 observers for the category to which you belong.
