The Leadership Mystique, Q&A with Manfred Kets de Vries & Elizabeth Florent

Within organisations, much energy is focused on its rational side: innovation, strategic agility, decision-making, and transformation. When it comes to implementation and inspired performance—getting people to work together towards a new goal—the hard truth is that results rarely meet the original objective. The challenge for leaders is to be able to see themselves and others in a complex system made up of people with diverse personalities, life experiences, strengths, desires, and challenges. Consequently, effective organisational interventions, whether focused on individuals or groups, need to address the ways in which people bring themselves to work and interface with one another.

Join Professor Manfred Kets de Vries and senior lecturer Elizabeth Florent as they discuss the Leadership Mystique and pull back the veil on the dynamics of effective leadership and the process for personal and organisational renewal and change. Specifically, they examine and unpack the transformative process that takes place in KDVI’s leadership development programme The Leadership Mystique.
