Kurt Lewin, who coined the term “Group Dynamics” noted that people often take on distinct roles and behaviors when they work in a group. Group dynamics describes the effects of these roles and behaviors on other group members, and on the group as a whole and how leaders have a powerful role in influencing these dynamics.
In increasingly hybrid work environments, group interactions and how leaders set the tone for and facilitate group dynamics that are inclusive and participative are critical for team engagement and performance. How does our inner theater unknowingly get in our way? How do we manage our inner self and that of others to create psychologically safe and creative environments within the group?
In this session, we will explore together what leads to good group dynamics in a way that we can empower our group to communicate more clearly, collaborate more effectively and get more high-impact work done together in the systems we operate.
